So the headlines all over the place are blaring that Obama supposedly cannot guarantee that Social Security checks will go out if the government defaults on the national debt on August 2.

Pardon the frick out of me, but last I checked, Social Security was supposed to be solvent through 2036 and is SELF FUNDED via FICA taxes!! That tells me that the President has no authority to hold up payments since that entire program is reckoned SEPARATELY from the general funding of the Federal Government.

So... either he means that Social Security is now being funded out of the general budget and is actually itself in default, or he simply means to raid it for funds to pay for other ongoing schemes, or... he is lying in an attempt to blackmail senior citizens into a push for new taxes. If the first is true, he has concealed this fact from the GAO and other accounting authorities which may be a federal crime; if the second is true, he is conspiring to commit fraud, and if the third is true, he is treasonably misleading the Congress into making bad decisions.

It's time to impeach this President, remove him from office (and all of his appointees), try him for the appropriate charges and by the grace of God (to us, not to him) convict him and send him to prison long enough to still have to be here for the denouement of whatever chaos he has already wreaked upon the rest of us.

Sugar drink ban in Boston is unwise

I emailed the following to Mayor Thomas of Boston, Massachusetts:

Dear Mayor Thomas:

Two points: First, banning the sale of beverages with sugar in them restricts the choice of consumers who are not all necessarily interested in drinking something during lunch and breaks that doesn't taste good to them. By banning the sale of these drinks, Boston is sending a message that consumers should be treated like children or cattle to be managed. This is not a good idea if you want Boston to be represented as a city that welcomes visitors to its government facilities. It's really an act of overt hostility to commerce, to city workers, to voters, to private citizens and to tourists.

Second, has anyone considered that there are people with special medical needs, such as insulin-dependent diabetes, who occasionally need a shot of sugar delivered in liquid form to, for instance, recover from accidental overdoses of insulin? I've seen this happen for myself, and in that situation a very fast acting sugar beverage saved a man's life. By banning these drinks the city of Boston may have irresponsibly created a danger of insulin shock or a similar medical crisis potentially killing someone unable to consume enough sugar in time to avert disaster. Boston may have opened itself up to significant liability in this issue.

I would just like to know, when is Myspace going to fix their horrible slow unergonomic inconvenient mess of a website and make it usable again? Is pride in the way? Tell you what, um, Tom Anderson, let's just start from the probably true supposition that you have no dignity left because whatever you or your drug-addicted programmers did didn't work out and made your site a dungheap. Not to mention your biggest rival Facebook (which I use) is run by a peeping pervert and can still program rings around your people. After you contemplate this on the Tree of Woe, just go back and set it to the way it was before. Then take lessons from Facebook, Collarme, or whoever else actually has something that works on how to run a social networking site BEFORE you go changing it again. 'K? Bye.

THE CHEMTRAIL HOAX

An old letter titled, "THE CHEMTRAIL FRAUD" that I posted to the Coast to Coast AM radio program on June 17, 2008; it bears repeating here and now because the chemtrail thing just never seems to die.

Sorry that I worded the title so harshly, but I really can't characterize this controversy any other way in good conscience. After listening to the show this morning and then surfing the Web looking for information about chemtrails, I came to a site called http://educate-yourself.org/ct/ and some other links thereto and found what I unfortunately suspected -- a lot of blatantly false information and misrepresented photos about what are -- for real, honestly, hand to God, I swear -- CONTRAILS.

To recap what a contrail is, picture yourself in one of our modern passenger jet aircraft flying over, say, Missouri. While you are sitting and relaxing, reading a book, or if you happen to be terrified of flight, white knuckling and staring out the window hoping the engines don't fall off in mid-flight, you look out and happen to notice that behind the jet engine on your side of the plane is a white vapor appearing a certain distance behind the engine. You ask the stewardess what that is, and she says "Oh, that's just the contrail." She gives this explanation so glibly that it's as if you are supposed to be satisfied with that information, but the word itself means nothing without a definition.

Here's one from Merriam-Webster online: "streaks of condensed water vapor created in the air by an airplane or rocket at high altitudes." The most important thing to get out of this is the content of a contrail is WATER. And water does certain things under certain conditions. At certain altitudes, under what weathermen call saturated conditions, it condenses into a cloud.

Now, before I go into explaining what saturation of air is, let me first go into my background as a recently graduated auto mechanic trainee and discuss what actually comes out of an airplane engine exhaust. Air and fuel are mixed for combustion, in order to provide thrust for the aircraft, at a given ratio which is known as the stoichiometric ratio. Stoichiometric just means that the ratio is the correct ratio for the type of fuel used and the oxidizer used to combust it. For gasoline, for example, the stoichiometric ratio of air to gasoline is 14.7 to 1. For methane, it's a lot higher, about 37.6 parts air to 1 fuel. For jet fueled engines it's technically about 15:1, similar to gasoline, however additional air is added to flow through the engine to cool the turbines because otherwise they overheat. The end result of this is the same regardless of the hydrocarbon-based fuel used -- you get energy production and waste products, which under the best combustion conditions yield some carbon dioxide and a much greater amount of water. There are also traces of unburnt hydrocarbons and if the reaction is too hot or too lean, some nitrous oxides as well, but the vast majority of the waste generated is primarily water vapor, secondarily carbon dioxide. This comes out the tailpipe of your car, and mixed with uncombusted coolant air, it comes out the back end of a jet engine.

Now about saturation -- this is an atmospheric condition which occurs when the humidity level -- the percentage of water vapor the air can hold at a given temperature -- is up close to 100 percent. This occurs when the dew point of air is close to the actual air temperature, and the dew point is a more direct measurement of the actual water content of the air. Now there are a few things to remember about this -- one is that the dew point can vary considerably depending on the overall weather conditions, and another is that temperature changes do not translate to dew point change or vice versa, except when air temperature falls into or below the dew point, thus forcing condensation to take place.

So here we go -- hot gas at some hundreds of degrees comes out the back end of the engines on our passenger jet. This hot gas is mostly air, with water vapor and carbon dioxide. The CO2 doesn't affect the formation of clouds so we can ignore that, it's invisible and inert. The hot air coming out of the engine may have a dewpoint of, let's say, 30 degrees Fahrenheit. In gas that's 200 plus degrees it appears to be very dry air, and you do not see vapor forming at that point. However, the air at a high altitude may be as cold as -50 deg F, with a dew point of -60 F. In those conditions you could have a bright clear blue sky without a cloud in it, since the temperature is still 10 degrees away from saturation. However, with the plane passing through it, now you have this part of the air heated to 200 degrees, with the dewpoint rising past 30 degrees as the engine's exhaust water is added to this part of the air. Very soon, the air temperature returns to ambient (what it was before the plane passed through it.) But the dewpoint which was at -60 F has now been raised over 90 degrees in that parcel of air!

Upon cooling down below 30 degrees vapor forms as the air is now saturated and cannot hold the moisture as vapor, it has to condense. By the time the air temp has dropped below -40 the condensation has already frozen into ice particles. These form the contrail that fans out behind the plane as wind currents push and pull at the trail. Now, with the dew point around the trail (not in it) still about -60 F, the ice particles which have formed a pretty dense contrail begin to evaporate into the surrounding air. However, they will normally take hours to do so because the dewpoint is not very low for that altitude and ice takes longer to evaporate than water droplets do. So basically the plane has done nothing more or less than create a type of cirrus cloud, and cirrus happens to be a kind that can hang around for days given the right conditions.

Now I can tell you, on my honor as a weather buff of 25 years with some courses under my belt in the field, experience taking weather readings, and studying the subject on my own time, that all of the pictures I have seen of trails in the sky are contrails. It seems extremely unlikely to me that if nefarious organizations could even pepper the sky with noxious powders and whatnot, that they would give away their activities by using substances that reflect as much light as a cloud -- and by the way most aerosols are invisible to the human eye, including volcanic ash below certain concentrations and sizes and most dust. Also, given the vast scale of the atmosphere and the complexity of wind patterns in it, it seems very very unlikely to me that high altitude spraying would have any meaningfully intentional consequences on any ground targets. Effective spraying has to be done at as low an altitude as safely possible, to limit the area covered and to ensure that the area you WANT to cover is reached by the sprayed contents.

Now about the photos -- some of them show contrails that can form at midlevel altitudes in saturated conditions where the contrail is a cloud of water droplets, too warm to freeze. These contrails will last just as long as any of the other streetlike clouds (altocumulus or altostratus) that may be in the vicinity, and they can be fairly thick for a while, again depending on saturation conditions. Other trails seen in photos, notably the ones with "rainbow effects," are no doubt higher altitude ice particle trails. What happens here is the light from the sun hits a certain angle from the viewer or photographer, and the ice particles scatter the colors in it forming a rainbow or a sun dog, from the viewer's perspective. Same thing happens in cirrus clouds -- it's not magic and it's not chemically induced, it's a property of the optical physics of water. Ice particles are more highly reflective than liquid cloud droplets, so you will tend to see that more often in ice particle trails, though it's also possible in droplet trails.

Certain photos show crisscrossing trails as well. This is common because air travel routes do often cross over each other, usually at different altitudes (when air traffic controllers are doing their jobs, which we like to think is all of the time.) You will probably see this sort of thing a lot in regions between several airport hubs.

I hope this helps to clear up the contrail mystery somewhat. :)

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be very liberal, and among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government programs, in other words redistribution of wealth.

She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch conservative, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.

One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the need for more government programs.

The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.

Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying.

Her father listened and then asked, "How is your friend Audrey doing?"

She replied, "Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over."

Her wise father asked his daughter, "Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA."

The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, "That's a crazy idea, how would that be fair! I've worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!"

The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, "Welcome to the conservative side of the fence."

II Esdras 11 prophecy -- The Eight Little Wings ... Rebooted!!

In 1918 eight little wings were created at the end of World War I fulfilling II Esdras 11; illustrating the Law of Double Fulfillment, six of those 8 perished in World War 2 ending up in Soviet occupation, but all 6 were freed around 1990. The prophecy has rebooted -- the first two little wings to perish re II Esdras 11:23 were Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia; both broke up in the 1990s.

The eight little wings are Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and Yugoslavia, all appearing just after 1918. Two were conquered by Germany in 1939, Czechoslovakia and Poland (also by the USSR.) Four fell in World War 2, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania in 1940 as well as Hungary in 1944. At the end of the war Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and the rest of Poland came under Soviet control. Yugoslavia was conquered by Germany in 1941 but regained independence in 1945; Finland was battered by the USSR but remains to this day. So for over 40 years there were only two little wings remaining on their own more or less, Yugoslavia and Finland, but with a dictatorship remaining awake in Soviet Russia, the head on the right.

The six wings under Russia's thumb during the Cold War era, namely Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Hungary regained independence in the late 1980s-early 1990s; with Yugoslavia and Finland continuing to this time, the initial conditions of the prophecy were re-created with all 8 little wings present once again. But this time, Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia both broke up, more exactly following the wording in II Esdras that they would VANISH -- not go under an eagle's head. This prophecy was originally thought to have been fulfilled by World War 2 but it was not really even close to being an exact fulfillment. There were only supposed to be two of the eight still independent as the middle head awakened (Italy) and united the other two heads (Russia and Germany) to itself. Not quite square with the sequence of events in context... Mussolini took power in 1922, Stalin a little later, Hitler in 1933. Italy/Mussolini perished in "his own bed" -- he was executed by antifascist Italians in 1945 as Italy was split by the Allied conquest and civil war. The head on the right (Russia) did eat the head on the left (Germany, partly.) However that triple alliance did not form the Axis, Germany broke its pact with the Soviets in 1941 with its invasion of the USSR and I find no indication the Italians ever invited Russia to a table with them, at least not prominently. Moreover instead of World War Two starting with just two of the eight little countries still on their own, it started with the invasion of only the SECOND of the eight nations to lose their independence, Poland. Czechoslovakia alone was gone, there were seven left, not two, and six left after Poland was devoured by BOTH left and right heads.

Given post-1990 history and the prophecy in II Esdras 11, do not expect Yugoslavia or Czechoslovakia to ever reunite. They're gone for the duration of the prophecy. Instead, two more nations will go "under the head on the right," meaning Russia's influence in Eastern Europe will expand and two more of the six left -- Poland, the three Baltic countries, Finland, or Hungary -- will become Russian satellites. That's next in that region. Now... time for a thought exercise: Let's say the two nations that go into the Russian orbit are Hungary and Finland -- just using them for an example, for political reasons briefly given later. Who would be left? Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland. The prophecy indicates two moving to the head on the right, and that appears to be a willing walk, not a devouring act or a simple disappearance as seen in other parts of the prophecy.

Parenthetically, in history the two most territorially ambitious of those six states have been Poland and Hungary, in the 1920s in Poland's case, in the 1940s in Hungary's case. Partial initial fulfillments at the time, perhaps.

After that four will be left, and of those four Eastern European nations, which in my thought exercise are Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland, two will become territorially ambitious, rising up one by one and quickly disappearing. (For the sake of the thought exercise we'll say it's Lithuania and Poland... both might have significant grudges against Germany and Russia historically... the other two really aren't big enough to have realistic territorial ambitions.) It will be THEN that a form of Fascist or Communist state in Italy will arise... the other two heads, Germany and Russia, will unite with it (presumably in alliance or confederation similar to the European Union, perhaps in repudiation of the EU.)

In any case, the next two rising up (Poland? and Lithuania?) will be eaten up by the three heads when they awaken. So only two of the six (Estonia? and Latvia?) will be left when the Italian-German-Russian autocrats arise and align with each other. They will destroy the last two (Estonia and Latvia, in the thought exercise) of those nations in the Great Tribulation. The three heads then also end up at war with the Antichrist ruler in the Middle East, joining forces with the Eastern powers and ultimately seeming to defeat the Antichrist at the end, but then foolishly attacking Israel at Megiddo where they too will perish when the Messiah returns (this is from a combination of Ezekiel 37, Daniel 11 and 12, and Revelation.) II Esdras adds the detail that it's after the middle head (Italy or its ruler) disappears that things really get bad... perhaps a hint that by then the latter and worse half of the Great Tribulation is under way, and that's when the head on the right, Russia presumably, eats and finishes off Germany, quite firmly bringing Gomer under Gog's wing in Ezekiel 37 although the alliance is complete before then anyway. When Russia, however, is coming to its end among the tumult of those last days, the first two of the six -- thought exercise-wise, Finland and Hungary -- will take over in Central Europe for a very short time as either the ruler or simply the power of Russia is broken at the end.

If this is confusing, all you really have to remember is the next two little wings -- two from the following six will move to the Russian side: Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, or Hungary. They're prophetically shown going in a way that might be voluntary, and they are the two that when Russia turns its attention away to fight with the forces of Antichrist, they will seize power at the very end of the Tribulations, and during their rule is the crescendo of the end times that ends with Christ (the Messiah) returning and wiping the floor with all of the opposition.

Ezekiel 37 ties into this as well. Ezekiel 37 is about Russia; it says an alliance will be formed with Rosh, Meshech and Tubal (Russia, Moscow, Tobolsk) expanding to include Beth Togarmah (House of the Turks, which to me may signify both the entire former Ottoman Empire and the Central Asian Turkic nations), Gomer (Germany), Put (Libya), Cush (Ethiopia or Sudan, or possibly Iraq or Afghanistan by other usages), and Persia (Iran.) So far, they pretty much have Iran, Turkey is wavering, Libya's in the fomenting sandwich between Tunisia and Egypt, Sudan is splitting apart, and with the incredible foreign policy of Obama these days, who knows what else is about to happen. One thing to note about southern Sudan, that area had recently been proposed to be named "Republic of Kush," but is due to be independent this year as Southern Sudan (2011.)

After researching Eastern European politics, it seems to me the two nations the most likely to waver and head over to the Russian side are Hungary and Finland. It's not at all certain to me but I'd say odds on, they're the next two wings to go, and they won't be dissolved like Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia were, they will simply go under the head on the right (Russia.) That will leave four, which accordingly may be Poland and the 3 Baltic nations, who so far remain quite nationalistic. (About them, the prophecy says they will try to set up the rule... nationalism at work.) But, they could be any two of the six.

After having figured out that the prophecy of II Esdras rebooted itself and began to be fulfilled much more accurately, I have a lot more confidence that that prophecy is sound, plus by referring back to Daniel, it confirms Daniel, which is cornerstone stuff for figuring out where the Antichrist is going to come from. There is an introductory phase to the II Esdras 11 passage describing the 12 kings -- they happened to be the last 9 rulers of the Holy Roman Empire plus the 3 German kaisers. This is determined by the second of the 12 rulers ruling the longest, which was Leopold I who ruled the Holy Roman Empire from 1658-1705. The II Esdras beast -- the 3 headed eagle -- is the latter day version of the Roman Empire in Europe, comprising the three nations that have had Caesars ruling -- Russia with the tsars, Italy of course, and Germany with the kaisers. That vision covers the last roughly 400 years of history in Europe plus the near future... with fulfillments restarted beginning in 1991 for the 8 little 1918-born wings, as 2 of them vanished in the 1990s and six are left.

So there are apparently several stages of fulfillment left to go before the Great Tribulations happen, that are left in the prophecies of Ezekiel 37 and II Esdras 11. Egypt is only now turning and it will end up the troubler of the last days. But these nations will be part of the Russian alliance: Turkey (not gone yet but wavering), possibly other Central Asian Turkic countries, and Iran, Ethiopia, Libya, and and Germany, notably Iran which already has an alliance with Russia today. Russia will also expand into Eastern Europe again; by the time the Tribulations arrive there will only be two of the eight little wing nations left that were born in 1918... two are gone now, six remain and they go by twos. Next phase of that is two nations going into the Russian sphere of influence -- not destroyed, but becoming satellites judging from the wording. After that two others disappear -- they don't just move, they're gone, and I think that happens just before the Tribulations begin and the triple tyrannies appear in Italy, Germany, and Russia. Two only are left when the neofascist or communist regimes take over in Italy, Germany, and Russia, and they will perish at the hands of that alliance. My guess is that's still years away at least. After that, at the end, the two satellite nations that went willingly to Russia will revolt from Russia successfully, but last only long enough to see the final end of the Tribulations as Christ returns.

THE LAST TWELVE KINGS OF ROME (HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE, GERMANY) -- Equated to the 12 wings of the Three Headed Eagle of II Esdras 11, dates covering rulership as Emperor-Elect:

I see a lot of people say, "Keep Christ in Christmas..." I'm like why? Did He pop out of it somehow? Has He escaped? Or isn't He as interested in it as a lot of us like to think He is?

I say, if Christ is in Christmas, He will evince it (make it evident), for the Scripture says Jerub-Baal, or let the Lord contend. If He's not, then somebody's been trying to put His name on someone else's holiday. Like, say, oh.... Saturnalia? Tammuz? Odin's birth? ... Hmmmm..... Funny how they all land on Dec. 25 and predate Christ. I'd hate to think God's not original.

The astronomer Adam Rutherford, using Biblical clues and evidence from Flavius Josephus among other sources, as well as astronomical science, actually determined that Jesus Christ was not born on Christmas (which is a word meaning Christ-Mass, mass being from masa, the barley cakes Babylonians and other pagan nations baked to Astarte the Queen of Heaven.) He was born, but not at that time of year.

A common farming and shepherding practice of seasonal migration, called transhumance, which was practiced in the Mediterranean results in herdsmen taking to the mountains for summer forage, not winter -- so you didn't see shepherds hanging around the Jerusalem hills in December to get rained and snowed on when the valleys are milder. They came up for the summer half of the year after the hot sun and lack of rain dried out the lowlands. (So much for Silent Night, huh.) That means Jesus's birth had to occur, from the Biblical evidence, during the summer half of the year, May to October.

Next factor for time of year was the birth of John... that can be dated on the calendar from the week his father Zechariah served his course in the Temple in Jerusalem. Luke records that he was in the course of Abijah, which served the 8th week after Passover and after the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkoth.) When he came home he "knew" his wife Elizabeth -- 80 plus years old and a miracle happened. Six months later Mary the BVM encounters Elizabeth and little John in the womb leaps, and Mary is pregnant soon thereafter. Add nine months and out comes Jesus. Well... here's some math -- add 6 plus 9 and you get 15 months after Zechariah's turn at the altar (not his wedding, but pleasure follows.) :) If it's after Passover, his course occurs somewhere in June (depending on the year), and if after Sukkoth, it ends up in December. Add 15 months, you get either September the year later, or March. You can go to Adam Rutherford for the exact calculation which also figures in the spectacular astronomical conjunctions of 3 to 2 BC.

In any case, from the Bible clues we know Jesus was born either in early spring or in early fall... well... transhumance tells us early spring is out -- still too cold and wet for the shepherds to take to the hills. They didn't get there till May or June in most places. There is also not much going on in Jerusalem in early spring -- Passover is still a month away generally. So... no room at the inn? I'd say there is. A little evidence changes the whole story, doesn't it?

So what about September? Rutherford's dating brings the birth of Jesus to late in the month, landing RIGHT ON Rosh Hashanah that year, 2 BC, as he calculated it -- not using the common medieval formula which was not in use for centuries still to come, but the practical dead reckoning of the day, which involved tracking the vernal equinox, spotting new moons, and other astronomical observations made by the priests. It comes out to September 29, 2 BC, to make a long story short. What's going on in Jerusalem and Bethlehem then?

How about throngs of people crowding into the Jerusalem metro area for the High Holy Days which begin with Rosh Hashanah itself? No room at the inns, they're all taken... people are loaded with offerings and money to bring to the Temple... which is how the Romans get to tax them, too. And the shepherds? It's still hot in Israel in late September. They're in the hills, in the right spot, plus they too worship at the Temple.

Rutherford and Dr. Gene Scott have gone into more depth, but basically I'm convinced the birth of Christ had nothing to do with the "16" or now I hear "30 crucified saviors" or "white masters" -- white being their clothing -- or other such December 25 related connections. He was born on or very close to September 29, 2 BC, Rosh Hashanah, a holiday God ordained on Mount Sinai to Moses; the wise men's gifts of gold, myrrh, and frankincense were for Him alone as gifts from subjects giving to their King. The closest you get to December 25 is maybe His conception... but count back 280 days from September 29 for a normal term... December 23. Give or take a few days or even a week, still a normal pregnancy. It's possible. But who ever mentions an Immaculate Conception being Dec. 25 for the "16 crucified saviors" or the "30 Ascended Masters?" It's always a birth, isn't it. But it ain't Jesus's birth.

Maybe some prophet way back when received info about how and when the Messiah would enter the world... but didn't get the rest of the memo...the BIRTH DATE.... and all those ancient idolaters never got the rest of the story....?

For the Rapture to happen in 2011...

First of all, forget the date favored by Harold Camping in May, that has nothing to do with the Feast of Trumpets, when the trumpet will sound and call those who trust Christ to go home to the Lord, escaping death and soon establishing the kingdom of the saints. The Rapture of the Church (not to be confused with later catchings-away of other believers in the Tribulations such as the 144,000, the two prophets and the multitude later on) will take place on Jesus Christ's real birthday on the Jewish calendar, the Feast of Trumpets. No matter what year it is, that's the date on the calendar of the catching away of His people.

Second, the construction of the Temple, for reasons I've given in earlier articles in this blog, must be already underway. This requires there to be a red heifer so that ashes may be provided for purification rituals in Jewish law. This is not a Christian process; the people doing this will not be those who are getting in the Church Rapture, but the Jewish priests who are serving into the time of the Antichrist. I don't know if the sacrifice of the heifer is required for the construction of the Temple, but it IS required for the sacrifices on the altar, so without it there is no point to building the Temple complete with the altar. As stated before, Israeli engineers say they need a year to complete it, and the sacrifices MUST begin, proceed, be interrupted and the desolation of the sanctuary last 2,300 days into the seven year Tribulation period under Antichrist, 45 days after the end of which he comes to perdition and the Lord returns to Jerusalem. I've counted back and that comes back to spring, near or on Passover that the sacrifices begin. That makes that Passover six months AFTER the Rapture, and since it takes a year to build the Temple, construction must have begun around the Passover BEFORE that Rosh Hashanah that Christ takes His people home.

In short, if they don't find a red heifer, they aren't going to build it... but if they DO start to build it BEFORE or AROUND Passover, it opens the door to the Rapture that fall. One other thing... I've also timed out (at least approximately) the time of the ending of the sacrifice with the Antichrist's invasion and desolation of the Temple, which occurs the same time as the killing of the two prophets or witnesses which we take to be Moses and Elijah (not Enoch, he already witnesses to this day through his mighty works of stone on the Giza plateau and possibly other places.) Count back 42 months of 30 days (1,260 days) and by my count they arrive about six weeks or so BEFORE the catching away of the Church. So we will have warning when this is about to take place.

Temple Mount ... when does it get destroyed? Not that soon.

I no longer believe the Temple Mount is in danger of imminent earthquake or other great disaster, before the Rapture or Great Tribulations, because in my opinion now, the prophesied destruction on the Mount is much more likely to occur during the earthquake of Revelation 11, upon the deaths and resurrection of the two witnesses that prophesy against the Beast. This event seems also to coincide with the Beast's conquest of Jerusalem which would be on the 1,010th day of the 2,300 days, placing their deaths in January 2015 according to the timetable I elaborated in other blogs. This also means the prophets (who I believe are Elijah and Moses, according to Gene Scott's teaching) would show up about a month and a half to two months before the Rapture, when you count back their 1,260 days of prophesying, or about early August of 2011 on my proposed timetable.

The earthquake of Revelation 11 will destroy a tenth of Jerusalem and 7,000 people, a figure consistent with the number of deaths that could occur in the event of a Temple Mount collapse. Concomitantly, the new Temple would survive the quake... and probably require some repairs, which in Hillelian fashion explains the seeming contradiction between two Jewish prophetic traditions that 1. the Messiah will not arrive until the Temple is built, and 2. he will commission the people to build the Temple when he arrives.

Another sign must apparently accompany the building of the Temple in the first place... the appearance of the red heifer. There is rumor of one having been found in March 2010 and being guarded closely by Jewish religious authorities. But, in order for construction of the Temple to even commence, the red heifer must be sacrificed on the Mount of Olives and its ashes saved for use in the Temple rites... without those ashes, there is no Temple service from what I understand of Jewish law and tradition. So, no red heifer, no sacrifice of it, no ashes, no rites, no reason to build a Temple. Look for it -- if they kill one atop the hill east of the Kidron valley from the Temple Mount and save the ashes, they're getting ready to start construction, and no destruction of the existing buildings on the Mount is necessary except for work that may need to be done in the Garden of El Qas.

Is it true that the Temple cannot be placed on ground that was used for a pagan high place or for pagan sacrifices?

If that is the case, there is an outstanding allegation made by architect Tuvia Sagiv that the site of the Dome of the Rock is a former pagan high place, and in addition to this it's known that the Al Aqsa mosque was built over the Roman Temple of Jupiter. Sagiv's study of the geology of the area suggests that locating any remnant of either the First or Second Temples at the Dome or anywhere north of it would be very unlikely because the bedrock itself breaks through to the surface inside the Dome edifice. Historically, he argues that the wall surrounding the Temple grounds had to be raised to stop a nosy evil king from peering from his palace into the grounds; the sightlines required to substantiate this would have been broken by siting the Temple at the Dome or north of it, regardless of the height of the wall. In the southern location in the garden between the Dome and Al Aqsa, a low wall allows a sightline from that former ancient palace into the area, and a high wall prevents it, according to Sagiv.

So he suggests the likelihood of the Temple having been located in the garden of Al-Kas midway between the Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa. Now, when I looked at the aerial photo and mapped diagram you have on the Bird's Eye Guide, I noticed a strikingly similar outline of a rectangular area in the garden, to the southwest of the Bird's Eye Temple diagram, matching the outline of the Temple, Inner Court and Women's Court, and it looks like it would fit very neatly right between the two Muslim structures. This also puts the Holy of Holies much closer to the Western Wall, where it would lie on the other side just to the northeast.

Sagiv himself suggests the Fountain of Al-Kas is centered right about where the Holy of Holies once stood, but I think that if it were located there, it would make it more difficult to ensure access to a clean water supply for the whole Temple; only the high priest would have been able to get to it, and how would it get channeled to the laver of cleansing in the inner court? I think it's more likely that it was on the south side of the inner court where regular priests could get the water to the laver and the altar. The Holy of Holies from what I understand received the blood tokens of sacrifice, so it would have been unsuitable to have the spring feed right under it because of sanitation issues. (Think about where the well of a house usually is. Not under the kitchen or bathroom! Near an outside wall or outside of the house entirely.)

However, it seems to me that the broad points of Sagiv's hypothesis would solve some vexing problems, most notably with having to demolish all or parts of the Dome mosque and with siting the Temple on any former pagan temple or worship site. I was also impressed by his scientific evidence of massive foundations right underneath the garden, as shown in nocturnal infrared imagery of the site. "I'd like to know what the State Department is doing to lift the travel ban the United Kingdom has unfairly and possibly illegally imposed on radio talk show host Dr. Michael Savage, Ph.D. I'm told that under the new government of Prime Minister David Cameron, the UK still maintains a list on which this man, who has done nothing but exercise his freedom of speech, a right recognized both by the British unwritten Constitution and the US Bill of Rights, remains lumped in with terrorists and war criminals. Is speech that is controversial and disagreeable to be considered terrorism now? If that's so, how can anyone respect the rule of law under a Constitution in either country that specifies freedom of speech as a right? How can anyone even work for a government in either country that is so blatantly ignoring a law abiding citizen's right to speak his conscience directly to a nation and to the world? What is the United States' answer to this breach of a private citizen's freedoms by an ostensible allied nation that supposedly shares the values of liberty and fair play?"

Temple Mount may be in danger on Tisha B'Av 5770

The following was sent to the office of the Prime Minister of Israel:

It is my deep concern that there may be a lack of preparation for a possible total disaster on the Temple Mount and around the Western Wall. It seems to me there need to be systems in place to evacuate people rapidly in the event that the Mount really is unstable, and some precipitating event like an earthquake or careless or malevolent human activity causes it to collapse, God forbid during a holiday like Tisha B'Av or a Muslim feast day where many people are attracted to the Mount area.

I can't speak to expertise because I'm not an archaeologist or an engineer, I just see certain patterns in the way things are going. Ninth of Av in particular appears to be a very dangerous time historically to be around the Mount. A source called LightofZion.org points to the numerous instances in Jewish history where this particular date has figured in some disaster involving this site. Given that repetition of events, I should think it would be a very good time, if not to convince people to stay home, to at least be absolutely and fully prepared for the unimaginably worst to happen. My concern is tripled this year because of other circumstances such as increased threat of earthquakes connected to solar eclipses (such as the one coming up July 11, just 8 days before 9th of Av commences this year), continued reports of excavation, legal and not, and of rumors of impending war with Iran over its intentions of destroying Israel and acquiring nuclear weapons.

It should be noted that the Shiite sectarians very likely hold a grudge against the Sunni Muslims for their guerrillas having repeatedly and savagely attacked the third holiest shrine in all of Shia Islam -- the Mosque in the holy city of Najaf, Iraq. It is not out of the question that Shiite terrorists may try to avenge Najaf with an attack on the third holiest shrine in SUNNI Islam -- the Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa, in other words, the Temple Mount. Shiite-ruled Iran may indeed be looking for a pretext to destroy the Mount by air attack or clandestine means in the event of a war with Israel.

Federal Jury System Reform

Sent the following to Senators George Lemieux and Bill Nelson, Congressman Bill Young and President Barack Obama:

Is it me or does the Federal jury system just plain suck? It seems to me that working people should not be drafted to do the government's bidding whenever Uncle Sam feels like it. I've been summonsed THREE TIMES in the past TWO YEARS and it is too much! Imagine being sick and having to work security at night, then becoming so alarmingly subject to memory lapses due to poor sleep that this time, you FORGET TO CALL THE JURY POOL! (They call it "failure to appear." It's up to a 3 day jail term and a $1,000 fine. Nice, huh?)

I have a proposal. MAKE JURY SERVICE STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. We have 16 million people out of work and they could use the money. Speaking of which, they should get paid $100 A DAY, FLAT RATE TAX FREE. A nice way to tide them over, without eating into unemployment budgets while serving. And offer them FREE TRANSPORTATION or mileage. And ELIGIBILITY to volunteer again within a SHORTER PERIOD, to make sure jurors are available.

I believe if these changes are made, the Federal Court system will never lack jurors to fill the pools. If impartiality is a concern, keep in mind most defendants will be as poor and likely to be minorities as most of the jurors, and voir dire takes care of that anyway; while the present system results in jurors abusing voir dire to get out of serving because they need to get back to their own jobs. Yes, we know how to fake prejudice. Don't kid yourselves.

Please consider and enact this proposal soon. Thanks for your time.

On my latest federal jury doody

This month of April starting the 13th I was on federal jury duty. Unfortunately, I forgot all about it. I hadn't even read half the material... something about a three month trial, that was something I only learned about on the 15th when I finally found the papers.

I failed to call the federal jury phone number Monday because I was sick, tired, was working that day, and nobody bothers to send you a reminder a few days early so us old farts with CRS can catch up with the times! Then they sent threats, arriving Thursday, which pissed me off, so I expressed my pissoff very eloquently to the court clerk's phone mail twice. Then I finally found the paperwork I was supposed to deal with Monday and called to find that my jury service was no longer required. Probably because I forgot to call them when they wanted me to. So I sent back an essay on their Order To Show Cause form, and it too was eloquent although absent the profanity and histrionics I am so very capable of on the phone.

You know, after being on call for jury duty twice in the past two years they really should have left me the fuck alone. But since they didn't, and I got sick and still had to work nights, and had other distractions, and basically night people just can't even think like day people, and I might actually be getting a touch of Alzheimers because lately I have been forgetting a lot of names, I'm about done with this idea of serving impartially on a jury. Hey, if anyone asks, I hate every ethnic group and both genders, I think he looks guilty, I think corporations are evil or government is depending who's asking, and I'll sabotage every voir dire I get invited to from now till fucking Doomsday! They want to waste their money getting me to open doors to constitutional nullification and preset verdicts, that's what they're getting from me from now on. Fuck them all!

I want to comment on the health care bill just passed by the Congress and signed by the President the past week:

You hit on the most vexing issue of this entire bill and that is cost reform. I would never have voted an entire redistribution of the people's wealth to insurance companies and bureaucrats only to find that nothing has been done to control the cost of key items like the entire production of the pharmaceutical industry. This massive law is doomed to fail and doomed to bankrupt the United States and all other programs with it if it is not repealed. I don't in fact think it will be (my opinion of government has fallen that low), but the least we can ask is to re-fix this monster to remove the Constitutional violations against the Commerce Clause and the Tenth Amendment -- Bill McCollum has described them accurately in my view -- and to bring the entire investigational weight of Congress to bear on how costs in this system can be reduced -- after all cost is virtually the entire reason the health care system is in the mess that it is, not access.

I can walk into a clinic or a hospital tomorrow and get access. At least until the months-long waiting periods start under this quasi-pseudo-socialist plan. The problem is how much everything COSTS and all the Congress has done is transfer these heavy costs to us regular working people, force us all to buy expensive care for everyone else including illegal immigrants (due to insufficient safeguards and exemption from having to pay in), destroy our privacy and a good measure of our freedom of choice, and raid other programs already in trouble financially to buoy this thing up. And all in a time of recession where attempts to increase tax revenues and exact premiums will only result in diminishing returns and economic disaster.

I don't know what you Democrats plan to do until November 2010, but unless you take some big steps toward resolving the enormous present and future problems your party has created in the past year, your party will enjoy neither my vote, nor, I suspect, the votes of millions and millions of other people who understand what balancing a budget, ordering priorities, and accounting for Murphy's Law are all about.

This letter is intended to be read to all members of Congress and the Senate; please feel free to distribute it to all of your colleagues as you see fit.

You know, Washington, DC is an insane town. It is probably the only place on earth, at the only time in history, where enough power to heal the whole world or destroy it has been wielded by human beings. Imperfect, greedy, conniving, power-hungry, ambitious, talented, rich, spiritually all over the spectrum from depraved to decent, God-made, Satan-seduced political creatures who represent both the best and the worst of the very nation that represents, in turn, the best and the worst of mankind.

It is not without good, good reason that God saw to it there be a Constitution instituted to govern this people... this cantankerous, beautiful, powerful, morally decayed but still sometimes faithful tribe of Forgetters that first came to the fore after the twin sons of Joseph sired the most numerous, the most powerful, and the most troublesome parts of the great nation once governed by the wisdom of the two best kings that ever ruled, and fallen into disgrace because the second of those two kings lost his way at the end.

Now it has become apparent that like Solomon, ruler of a justly founded world empire ages ago, the custodians of today's even more justly founded superpower -- more justly founded because it derives its power from the consent of the governed by way of the written word of law, rather than through autocratic whim -- are about to sabotage the very contract by which this nation was founded to lose this nation's birthright for pottage in the manner of Esau.

I bear witness to you who read this that if this republic's leaders so derange themselves from its founding principles, embodied in its foundational written words, that states are played against one another for advantage and the legislative process is short-circuited with bills being declared passed without completed votes, then we will have destroyed the Union of these states as surely as Solomon destroyed the unity of the Kingdom of Israel and Judah at the end by his addiction to strange gods.

My Letter to CIA Director Leon Panetta

To Mr. Leon Panetta:

I happen to be a very sharp critic of the Obama administration and many of its officials and supporters in Congress; to the point where I have resigned to converting to conservatism to preserve my own sanity and integrity. That having been said, however, I wanted to point you out in some way as what I consider the one bright shining light of this ass-backwards government of ours.

I have now seen you repeatedly, vigorously and passionately defend your agency and its employees against the harshest criticism it has probably ever received in its history; I believe quite unfairly, I might add. Regardless of whatever qualms (many of them) I have about the direction of the policy the Central Intelligence Agency is being asked to follow under President Obama, I at least know there is one person who genuinely -- by the evidence of his actions -- has the best interests of our national intelligence effort at heart, and that's you.

Please keep hanging in there and keep being you. This nation has no better official serving it in the executive branch in these darkening days, and I'm proud of how you have been comporting yourself. You are a Mensch.

Now Panetta is defense secretary for a week and a half, and demonstrates complete, total, and arrogant ignorance of Arab feelings and customs in his "Make a decision, damn it!" outburst in front of the media, and hence in front of all of Iraq. Anyone who's read Schwarzkopf's autobiography knows you can't resolve anything in the Arab world without long extended conversations, teas, shared meals, exchanges of pleasantries, and a whole lot of politeness. As of this date he has only been there a few days!! And only his second week as Secretary of Defense. A suggestion for dealing with nonexistent global warming

I lately received a newsletter from Democratic Senator Bill Nelson (FL)about ameliorating impacts on agriculture because of climate change-related policies like carbon trading et al.

Here's a thought: Since we are now having a winter to match 2001 and 2003 in severity and since these three put together comprise the worst I've seen since I moved to Florida in 1992, can we just put "man induced global warming" away for the lie that it is?

And can we act accordingly, by NOT passing stupid draconian measures that would end up slashing agricultural output and starving millions upon millions of people worldwide to DEATH??? Think that might be a better liberal policy to follow -- to -- let me repeat -- NOT starve MILLIONS of people to DEATH???

I still see indications that health insurance coverage will be mandated by the Congress, enforced by fines and jail. I cannot stand for this.

It's really the "mandated" part that bothers me the most. As a taxpaying citizen of a free republic, I have no interest in participating in a privacy-threatening system ruled by bureaucrats against my will. When I hear Nancy Pelosi say that a $3500 fine for not enrolling is "fair," I cringe and that's the least of the emotions that runs through me about this.

Climate Change and the EPA Power Grab

Although the House of Representatives has no power to ratify a potential climate change treaty signed by the President, it does have exclusive power to initiate revenue bills, and members of Congress will be charged with the duty to raise serious questions about the high costs of climate change "Cap'n Trade" legislation and treaties, as those costs will be borne by American taxpayers who elect the lawmakers of this Republic.

It is also the responsibility of both houses of Congress to define the limits of federal regulatory agencies, notably the Environmental Protection Agency, an unelected federal agency which has been preparing a power grab over the carbon dioxide issue for years, and has now declared CO2 to be a substance harmful to man. The EPA acted in spite of abundant scientific evidence that carbon dioxide is an indispensable nutrient for plants, which use it to make sugars naturally. CO2 also has a well-known "fertilizer effect" that is responsible for much of the agricultural success of the 20th and 21st centuries, which has staved off the starvation of billions of people in a burgeoning world.

Since it is the intention of the EPA to reduce carbon dioxide emissions to the extent of significantly impacting the ratio of CO2 in the atmosphere, I submit that it is the EPA and like-minded simian bureaucrats that have become harmful to human life, and it should be proposed in Congress that this agency's funds and regulatory scope be sharply curtailed before its anti-life policies result in the mass starvation of both humans and animals in our ecosystem.

Copenhagen Conference of Fraudsters and Willing Chumps

I believe the President would be well advised, in the light of recent revelations of fraudulent behavior impacting the datasets of the IPCC upon which assertions of man induced climate change are based, to not go to Copenhagen, to not sign any treaties giving away American citizens' rights and income, and to disassociate the United States Government from the man induced global warming bandwagon completely.

I remain opposed to so-called cap and trade legislation. It will impose an unfair and unnecessary burden on the people and businesses of the United States in a time when we are in a recession and need to cut taxes and spending in order to give commerce a chance to create badly needed jobs.

I don't know what possesses the liberal interests in this country to continue to advocate suffocating commerce, which is the engine of the American economy, but this needs to stop. So-called man induced climate change has been exposed as a fraud in the flap over IPCC-East Anglia-CRU emailings, though many climatologists and other scientists already knew the science behind it is questionable at best. 30,000 of them, in fact.

I'm not a fan of making government policy based on evidence coming from one side with an anti-American axe to grind, that being the United Nations, under whose aegis the IPCC operates. It seems to continually escape the attention of Democrats and other liberals that the UN is presently run by a clique of Third World and Muslim-dominated nations whose interests lie in exploiting and confiscating the wealth of successful capitalist (and Christian) nations whenever they can get away with it. It is political malpractice to sign onto the pap that comes out of the UN, let alone adopt it as American policy to a heavy financial cost and loss of civil rights that will be borne by taxpayers and consumers.

Since the grand wizard of the EPA took it upon herself to declare the most vital plant nutrient on the Earth a hazard to human health, I think it is time we rein in the unelected monkeys in our bureaucracy before they make themselves an even bigger hazard to human health, by forcing policies on us that would create food and fuel shortages as well as skyrocket both the unemployment and inflation rates in the middle of a recession.

Does anyone have a clue what would happen if this out of control alphabet soup monkey farm would shove down our throats in the way of trying to control the output of carbon dioxide from combustion plants all over the nation? Ask an engineer what stoichiometric combustion means. He should tell you it means carbon dioxide and water are the two main exhaust gases produced by ANY kind of "fossil" -- really abiotic -- fuel combustion upon which we still rely for 80 percent of our electricity and 100 percent of our transportation. If they try to install scrubbers to remove all of that CO2, we'd end up with a HUGE solid waste problem, not to mention, what if this scheme was even somehow successful in reducing CO2 in the atmosphere --- now ask BIOLOGISTS about the FERTILIZER EFFECT of CO2!! Guess why they call it the "Greenhouse Effect?" IT MAKES PLANTS GROW!

Did you know that in the defense appropriations bill that you two Senators voted YES to, there was a rider that violates the First Amendment by banning so-called hate speech?

I'm sure President Obama, who just had his flunky sign a UN protocol to outlaw so-called hate speech around the world will happily sign the bill. I do not think God will be so happy, nor will anyone who values the freedoms in the First Amendment.

By the way, when B.O. said "all 57 states" back in the campaign, did he miscount the US or was he referring to the Organization of Islamic Conference that largely produced the aforementioned anti-free speech UN turkey?

NOOO!!! to Health Care Bills

I remain adamantly and resolutely opposed to mandatory health care coverage plans.

Cost control is not being addressed; I see nothing to bring down doctor's malpractice insurance premiums which are commonly over $200,000 per doctor, no tort reform, no limitations on patents -- recently extended to 12 years on drugs instead of being cut back as I have recommended -- no structural changes to cut back on waste, fraud, and abuse ... nothing of the sort. The big strategy is rationing and "good outcome" panels.

Privacy concerns are also being ignored. The great insistence on centralizing all medical records in a national database can have only one effect on privacy, it eliminates privacy. Many people have health issues crossing over into areas where law enforcement brings down its heavy hand or where discrimination becomes a terrorizing reality -- HIV, drug rehabilitation, and mental illness to name a few that stand out. How can these conditions be treated while preserving human dignity if we are being outed to employers or police or anyone who can defeat computer security? And what about identity theft?

In the end I believe that mandating coverage will provoke millions of people into breaking the law rather than being treated like cattle or slaves. I am one of those people and I DO promise you, if Congress mandates coverage and it passes, I will become an outlaw and I will be against this government forever, until it perishes from the earth!

I have previously discussed the Rapture occurring on Rosh Hashanah Sept. 29, 2011, in my blog on the subject. Following that date, the next Passover will occur on April 7, 2012. This is a study to determine significant dates resulting from counting 2,300 days from that Passover... 1,010 days to the end of the sacrifices and abomination that makes desolate, and then 1,290 days to the end of the desecration, and 1,335 days for "Blessed is he that waits and comes to the 1,335," or 45 more days.

Parenthetically I would add that the number 1,010 is interesting as the number of days of sacrifice offered -- because it symbolizes the tithes -- "ten ten" or two tens -- and ten is also the number of human responsibility in the Bible, according to Dr. Gene Scott.

So let's start counting 2,300 days from the Passover of 2012, which follows Rosh Hashanah 2011:

Rosh Hashanah in 2018 occurs on September 10, 2018 -- just two days later.

What would be the significance of this period between Jewish holidays in 2018 from July 25 to September 8? The period is bracketed neatly, within a couple of days, by Tisha B'Av and Rosh Hashanah. Tisha B'Av in 2018 occurs on July 22, 2018. Rosh Hashanah, which is the Jewish New Year, the Feast of Trumpets, occurs on Sept. 10 that year. But no Jewish holidays occur between the two.

Well, as it turns out, Tisha B'Av is a commemorative date, literally just called the Ninth of Av, that commemorates disasters that happened to the Israelites and Jews.

Will the worst extremity of the abomination making desolation happen on Tisha B'Av? Just 3 days before tidings from the North and East alarm the Little Horn? The date falls three days before the end of the 2,300 days that I projected from Passover in 2012. Just three days.

Michael Savage banned in Britain -- will State do nothing for him?

Does it not seem rather strange -- even comical in the German sense of the word "komisch" -- that an award winning radio talk show host, with two Ph.D.s and some very important contributions to scientific literature in his fields of botany and epidemiology, finds himself banned from traveling to a country he had never planned to visit because of selectively lifted quotes from his monologues, which were never heard on radio in that country, which severely distort his views? Or that the country in question is allegedly a democratic nation (a limited monarchy) with a robust tradition of free speech, which was passed on to the United States in its cradle?

What I find even stranger -- and in a darker sense, what I find outright perverse -- is a government that turns its back on one of its citizens, whose rights are being trampled on in a foreign country who is ostensibly our closest ally, with the silent acquiescence of much of the news media that supposedly bathes in the sunshine of freedom of speech and press. The hypocrisy all around staggers my imagination. It is an affront, an egregious insult to the very name Democratic, as far as the party of the administration is concerned, as well as to this nation with such deep historical roots in its mother country, to say to one of our native sons, for doing nothing but speaking his mind earnestly about the pressing issues of life and of the day, "No, you cannot come here, you are like a terrorist or a murderer."

Is this invective against an innocent man to be answered with silence? With consent? Is there no one left in the halls of power in this land to defend one citizen from being subjected to a bill of attainder by a foreign nation that purports to be our fastest friend? Even if we out of ignorance fail to respect the legal traditions of our nation-friends, does that mean we then deliberately choose to ignore our own Constitution and Bill of Rights as at least guiding principles in our dealings with countries who mistreat and oppress our people? What does that say about us?

It has been said that for evil to prosper, it is only necessary for good men to do nothing. I would like to believe there are still some good men and women left in the Government of the United States. But if they do nothing, are they truly good or are they a part of the problem? If nothing is done to right the wrong done to Michael Savage by Her Majesty's Government, I will have to believe that either good men are utterly powerless now, or that there are no good men left in the employ of the Department of State, the Obama Administration, or in the Cabinet of the United Kingdom.

Zelaya should not be reinstated!

I emailed the following to President Barack Obama, Senators LeMieux and Nelson, and Rep. Bill Young:

I think it is necessary once again to point out that Manuel Zelaya, the ousted former president of Honduras, is not the constitutional head of state or of government of that nation ever since the Supreme Court of Honduras, with the full support of the Congress and other branches of government, issued a warrant for his arrest for violating the Constitution, attempting to hold extralegal elections, stealing government funds, inciting a riot, and other charges.

Neither the United States, the United Nations, the Organization of American States, the European Union, or other entities outside of the borders of Honduras have any right to arbitrate constitutional issues within Honduras any more than a foreign state or organization would, in, say, deciding that the U.S. Constitutional procedure for impeaching a President should be vetted with any of them first. That's imperialism!

The only legal bodies that have the authority to decide whether Mel Zelaya should have continued in office or not are the very ones that ousted him. They had the legal authority and they exercised it. The analogue to their procedure is called impeachment in the United States. It's no more a coup than the ouster of Richard Nixon was one, and this Zelaya makes Nixon look like a choirboy with a halo when you actually look at what he was getting away with.

I seriously and deeply question the judgment of any government or leader that supports the reinstatement of an impeached official who has violated the Constitution of his or her country, and whose next stop should be before the legal body his nation's Constitution has empowered to render a verdict on his impeachment. Let Honduras settle her own affairs before any more bad precedents are set by this administration, lest they end by boomeranging back to our own nest!

A spectacle of media bias

What a spectacle. Leftist voices from Maureen Dowd of the New York Times to Jimmy Carter are accusing Rep. Joe Wilson of being a racist after he's already apologized to President Obama for his outburst during the President's address to Congress... meanwhile the news media disparages and discounts the massive demonstration in Washington, DC over the weekend, and when certain media personalities call the big acronyms on the carpet on that, we get treated to the spectacle of Politifact.com dragging out some old photo harvested from an overenthusiastic blogger and asserting that this is proof that the demonstration was 50,000 to 75,000 people and not 1 to 2 million people like members of the Capitol Police and others calling in to radio stations have been saying. Jack Harris of 970 AM in Tampa said around 5 am this morning (Tuesday 09/15/09) that he had lived in Washington, seen several pictures and video of the event, people had called him describing it, and the way the media treated it "was an insult" to the people who flooded the city to protest against the way universal health care is being rammed down our throats.

In my entire life -- 44 years -- I have not seen such an egregious display of dishonesty and distortion from the major news outlets... you would expect this from a Communist or a Nazi government, not from a so-called free press. The real stinger is that a supposedly "independent, unbiased" group that rates political quotes on a "Truth-o-Meter" has now shown itself to me -- TWICE -- once on the Joe Wilson issue, and now with the crowd numbers in Washington -- that it is no more to be trusted on FACTS than Pravda or TASS under Leonid Brezhnev. The truth about Politifact is this: It is run by the St. Petersburg Times, whose editorial board is pro-Democrat, endorsed Obama for President, and parrots the same biased stories from the AP and Reuters, among others -- sometimes excising crucial facts that would put leftism in a bad light! I know because that's the paper I read every day, and the disconnect between its "journalism," if you can still call it that -- the quality of the writing having declined to near stupidity lately -- and verifiable information that I get from other sources, has widened to nearly a gulf on any story that has political controversy in it. I don't have to rehash my last blog criticizing the press to say that the St. Petersburg Times also has a code of ethics that it has lately defenestrated whenever it was inconvenient to the Democratic administration.

One more thing I'd like to say about Joe Wilson's shout "You lie!" Before you read racism into it, let me tell you that normally Southerners are a laconic bunch, especially when they're ticked off. I was born in Maryland, which is a Southern state and let no one tell you any different, and the only reason either I or anyone else would say "You lie!" is it was the shortest, most direct way of stating "You're a dishonest lying piece of crap, and anyone who trusts what you say is a damn fool!" Notice that nowhere in there is some race statement -- it was not reserved for use against only blacks or any other group. That's simply what Southerners will say to you if they think you're being deliberately and scummily deceptive. It's in the present tense, but perhaps it would be more accurate, from the tone that it's usually delivered in (this is for you grammarians), to call it an infinitive present tense. That means it's a permanent condition, there is no time attached to it, "You lie!" means "You can never be trusted again" and "You should never have been trusted at all!"

I got so furious this morning over yet another potential government-perpetrated atrocity against the Constitution and the American people, that it would be impossible to articulate it, I don't really care to deal with it, and I need to claim some promises of God in these last days.

You see, all of this stuff that's happening is leading up to something, and that's the return of Jesus Christ, which anyone who trusts Him should be looking forward to with an attitude of joy. As long as I wallow in anger and disgust because of current events, I'm not looking at Christ and that's Who I need to be looking at instead of the bums steering us all off a cliff. He's coming to rescue us from these worthless sons of Belial!

So I am claiming the following promises of God and statements of faith, Amen in Jesus Christ's Name:

I received the following reply from a local radio station DJ after emailing, on the eleventh, the blog "Rep. Joe Wilson... Was he right?" to the contacts that I send political mail to:

I wrote back,

"I have no respect left to give this President or this Congress. I cannot tolerate liars, power hungry Marxists, or political opportunists who cater to scum."

Needless to say, perhaps, the radio station will receive no more mail from me and is deleted from my contacts.

Once in a while you have to go out and tell the whole world that it's wrong; dates, holidays, or commemorations be damned. I mean, the article says Stone puts Cuba and Venezuela "on the same page" with Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Bolivia... What does that mean? We now have a seven-nation anti-US Marxist bloc on our hands in Latin America? Thank God Honduras kicked out Zelaya or we'd have eight!

I wonder... if Oliver Stone ever made a movie about Roberto Micheletti, would the actor playing him end up staring at paintings in the Presidential residence in Tegucigalpa and sweating a lot like Anthony Hopkins did in Nixon? PDF file issue

Some of us, including me lately, have been having trouble with Adobe Reader due to badly written software in the program called acrord32.exe that opens PDF files. I found a fix on the Internet which worked for me, so I'll post it here. (The following solution was originated by Jari Ahtiainen.)

First, close all other programs (except this page so you can read along, or print it out and close your browser, too) and open Adobe Reader in your computer.

Second, choose Edit, then choose Preferences from your menu bar, then along the side of the dialog box for Adobe that opens, choose Internet. It will open a dialog box containing check boxes for "Allow fast web view" and "Allow speculative downloading in the background." Uncheck both of these boxes, then click Okay at bottom.

Apparently it is these two options, when checked on, that cause the computer to continue to run Adobe on ever increasing amounts of RAM until your entire CPU is tied up and made useless for anything else, even when no PDF files are being downloaded any more. Unchecking those two boxes allows the computer to continue to multitask even when opening giant PDF files like HR 3200.

If you find yourself in a PDF disaster/lockup before you get to these steps, ctrl-alt-del, select Processes, and delete acrord32.exe if you see it using 95 to 100 percent of your RAM in the CPU column. (Nik Colman authored this solution.)

Rep. Joe Wilson... was he right?

So today in the House of Representatives, Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) had an "emotional outburst" and yelled "You lie!" at President Obama after the President's speech on health care in the chamber, against Obama's assertion that he has never proposed that the government cover health care for illegal aliens. For which the South Carolina Congressman has apologized and yada yada yada.

Well... It seems to me that the "fact-checkers" like Politifact.com have not been as thorough as I might have hoped. There are reports in conservative media that Obama has been caught lying over and over again, constructively, about the increased access that illegal aliens will have to health care paid for by the US government.

Examples include:

Mickey Kaus, a supporter of universal health care, in Examiner.com such as: "...Illegal immigrants will too get health insurance under the current Democratic proposals. They’re technically not eligible, maybe–but their eligibility probably won’t be verified. And Dems have rejected amendments to require verification."

According to Mark Krikorian of the Center for Immigration Studies, Jerry Kammer wrote:

In an interview on the program "Al Punto," White House Director of Hispanic Media Luis Miranda acknowledged that coverage would not be provided to illegals. Then he immediately added, "Precisely because of that we are working for reform of immigration laws." Presto-change-o, problem solved, with coverage for all those formerly illegal immigrants."

In the Center for Immigration Studies report Health Reform Legislation and Immigration by James R. Edwards Jr., August 2009, I found:

"Bear in mind, Government agencies and nonprofits often look only at income levels and similar qualifiers when enrolling new beneficiaries in public programs like Medicaid and SCHIP. They often overlook immigration status, even though that could disqualify someone from program participation. [Emphasis mine.]

"Health reform legislation, particularly H.R. 3200 (pdf file), contains a number of provisions that open the door to taxpayer funding of immigrants’ health care. That’s for illegal aliens, legal aliens who are supposed to rely on their sponsor for financial assistance their first five years here, and certain immigrants who sponsor other immigrants.

"In brief:

"Despite nominally barring illegal immigrants from receiving a health-insurance subsidy, an amendment to require that applicants be screened for eligibility — as are all other welfare recipients — was rejected on a party-line vote. [Emphasis mine.]
"Even legal immigrants whose sponsors are supposed to provide them financial support would be eligible for taxpayer-funded subsidies.
"Certain legal immigrants who qualify for premium subsidies or expanded Medicaid would also be able to sponsor new immigrants, whom they would have to pledge to support.
"Illegal immigrants would be exempt from the legal mandate to have health insurance, but they’d still receive taxpayer-funded medical services at health clinics and hospitals required to serve all those presenting with medical emergencies."

In the National Review, Kevin Williamson, to summarize, basically says that illegal aliens get around legal restrictions to access health care through loopholes already present in the Medicare and Medicaid systems, and since there are no provisions in HR 3200 and similar legislation from the Democrats to otherwise prevent illegal aliens from accessing government-provided health care, the American people will end up subsidizing even more, perhaps a lot more, of the health care of illegals.

I would also say, as Williamson and others do, that it is Obama who is lying by omission. A lie of omission is still a lie.

US cuts aid to Honduras

Well now... the U.S. government, which as we all know is so interested in preserving constitutional government that it's trying to get HR 3200 passed so we can all have the right to have all our medical records read and reviewed by Uncle Sam, has decided to extend its defense of constitutional government to other countries, starting with Honduras, which had the nerve to impeach Pres. Manuel Zelaya for 1. trying to run a private election to extend his own term, 2. running illegal drugs through his country, and 3. helping himself to the national treasury, 4. accepting undue influence from a foreign head of state, among other things.... and toss him out of the country... letting him fly out on the same foreign head of state's military aircraft, rather than conduct it properly, by imprisoning him and giving the leftist rabble in Tegucigalpa a reason to riot in the streets.

Because, you know, any democratic government is all about minding everybody else's business... whether it be Honduras's business... or yours.

Update: Watch the series of AP photos about Manuel Zelaya and the demonstrations in Honduras. Tell me you're looking at people protesting a military coup when the military is nowhere in sight, the demonstrators are the ones perpetrating all the violence (albeit bloodless stuff like eggs and water balloons), and the AP/AFP/Reuters series that Yahoo posted conveniently leaves out pictures, if they even took any, of Micheletti's supporters while parroting the captions on all the posters calling for Zelaya's return and for cancelling the regularly scheduled November 29 elections!!! Who's on the side of democracy again?? Are the Associated Press, Reuters, and Agence France-Presse a little leftist here??

On the About AFP web page, its mission statement saith:

I now see what to me is a glaring flaw in the grounding of this article... The uprooting of the three by the Antichrist is an uprooting of three existing nations by a ruler who appears as if out of nowhere. He is not just called one of the ten but is called an eleventh ruler who belongs to the ten. Meaning there are ten rulers, then he comes, takes out three, and replaces them with him. So... whichever nation he actually springs from, three nations will be under him in the beginning, and it's only AFTER this that the eastward, southward, and toward Beulah expansion takes place.

For now at least, that makes the question of his origins a lot murkier. Iran's not excluded, but because of the Seleucid bounds and the original power center of Seleucia being more toward Syria and Iraq, not to mention Islamic hadiths of the Dajjal point right at Syria and Iraq, it seems more likely to me that the Beast will be an Iraqi or a Syrian, perhaps of one of the many ethnic minorities in either country. Also I think he will overthrow by flatteries in terms of it being a peaceful or bloodless, but unconstitutional coup... the small number of people that help him are just as likely to be a cabal of powerful men like those who helped put Saddam in power in the early 1970s, in his case, not bloodlessly and not because he flattered them. There's still useful info in here, but beware of the conclusions I initially drew.

What does Daniel mean by uproot three horns? Horns are always symbolic of power in the Bible, of kings, rulership, countries. So when a little horn arises, this is a horn with a little power at first, or from a small people:

And after the league [made] with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people.

Examples of a small people in the Middle East today could include the Kurds, the Armenians, the Circassians, the Samaritans, the Assyrians, or possibly the Azerbaijanis, and I'm sure there are many others. The Arabs are certainly not a "small people" for the area, they are the largest ethnicity in the region. Therefore the Little Horn cannot be an Arab himself, though he may certainly rule over Arabs. Probably not a Persian either. This means he is a non-Arab ruler uprooting three nations.

East: 1. qedem, which means east, front, or old/ancient, and refers to the direction of the deserts of Arabia -- also said of the children of the East or the direction taken to get to Mesopotamia. 2. mizrach, which means the place of sunrise or rising (due east -- supposedly.)

South: 1. negev, which refers to the Negev desert which extends south and west of Jerusalem toward Sinai; 2. teyman meaning to the right hand (of mizrach.)

West: 1. yam, the sea or seaward, toward the Mediterranean, west and toward the northwest of Jerusalem; 2. ma 'arab, "setting place" or "sunset."

North: 1. mezareh, figuratively meaning scatterer (as north winds scatter) 2. tsaphown, the direction of darkness, place that is hidden or obscure.

Confused? It gets worse.

Daniel uses mizrach ("east") and tsaphown ("north") in 11:44, "But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him:", and then he uses mizrach again in 8:9 "little horn... to the east and to the south..." with negeb for south. For "west" Daniel uses ma 'arab, "setting place" or "sunset."

Locating mizrach seems straightforward -- just go to the sunrise -- but the kings of the North and South, that is, tsaphown and negeb, when deciphered from prophecy are the kings respectively of Seleucid Syria and Ptolemaic Egypt. If you look at Israel on a map between these two nations, these nations are not oriented straight north and south on the modern compass, but are canted clockwise about 45 degrees. Syria, the "North," lays northeast of Israel -- what Daniel calls tsaphown, and Egypt, the "South," lays southwest of Israel... directly opposite Syria in the negeb direction. If we take this as a cue, the directions in clockwise order are:

mizrach = southeast (towards Arabia)

Hence we find the rough he goat coming not from due west, but from the northwest, from the direction of Greece:

Dan 8:5	And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat [had] a notable horn between his eyes.
Dan 8:8	Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.
Dan 8:21	And the rough goat [is] the king of Grecia: and the great horn that [is] between his eyes [is] the first king.

If the rough he goat (who by the way is Alexander the Great of Macedonia; the four "notable ones" were his generals who split up the empire after his premature death) were just coming from due west, he could much more easily come from Libya or even Egypt than Greece. The due-west direction is all the vaguer if you consider west could be considered the direction of either Greece or Egypt especially if by overland travel. But if in fact the term ma 'arab is being precisely applied, as northwest, then it fits right in with Syria being tsaphown "northeast" and Egypt being negeb "southwest" -- via the Negev Desert. In fact, heading just slightly south of due west takes you from Jerusalem right over the Suez Canal to the end of the Nile Delta at Alexandria, Egypt. Cairo and the Pyramids of Giza are actually west-southwest of Jerusalem. If you travel overland to Greece from Jerusalem, you have to take a route that veers a bit east of north before making a westward turn in Anatolia! Admittedly I have been referring to Jerusalem for these compass directions as that is the ancestral home of Daniel's people whom the angel keeps referring to in his visions, but even if you take his locations in either Babylon or Persia as starting points, Greece still lays west- northwest of Babylon and Susa, and Egypt is west-southwest of both cities. Hence applying west to Greece and not to Egypt tells me the orientation of west, south, and north were different to the ancient Jews than they are to us today.

So if these are the compass points for Syria, Egypt, and Greece, then why not apply them throughout the book of Daniel at least? Daniel uses the same language of directions for the movements of the Little Horn as he does for the prophecies of the kings of the North and South. This means the compass as we know it must be shunted clockwise (right of north) 45 degrees to interpret Daniel correctly. We can reduce it with the King James Version or other English versions like this:

East = Southeast (toward Arabia.)

South = Southwest (toward Egypt.)

West = Northwest (toward Greece.)

North = Northeast (toward Syria.)

Translated to the Seleucid kingdom per se, occupying the countries from Turkey to Iran, gives this set of directions points:

East = towards the Persian Gulf region, Iran, Pakistan, and India

South = towards Arabia or Egypt

West = towards Europe

North = towards Russia, Central Asia (including Afghanistan) and China

Dan 11:44

But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

The final end of the Little Horn is his fall in battle against non-Muslim powers India, China, Russia, and their allies.

Now, again, in the book of Daniel the Little Horn has to fulfill certain conditions:

Dan 7:8	I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn [were] eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
Dan 8:9	And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant [land].

Conclusion:

One country among the six to have parts of their territories in the old Seleucid Empire, and one country only, can expand "south" (southwest) and "east" (southeast), and toward Beulah (due west) and seize three other nations who are not disqualified as parts of Edom, Moab, and Ammon by expanding in those directions. This country is large, populous, and has a number of interesting ethnic minorities, among them the Kurds, the Azerbaijanis, and the Pashtuns; the dominant group is the Persians. Its name is Iran.

Mabus and Moussavi

I need to mention here... as this article simply got out of hand in length and details... that the assumption I made about the Antichrist uprooting three nations OTHER than his homeland is likely flawed, and that may undo the entire case for Persia, Iran, and perhaps Mousavi being the Little Horn or Beast of Revelation. In addition it seems to me that unless he's blind in his right eye, speaks with a stammer, and slaps his thigh to speak properly he isn't fulfilling Islamic hadiths either...

At this point I will also mention that probably the most probable way for Mir Hosain Mousavi to fulfill these prophecies as the Beast/Little Horn/Antichrist/Mahdi/Dajjal would be for him to be sent into exile from Iran into Iraq or Syria, and then engineer or have engineered for him a coup that overthrows, most likely, Syria, Iraq, and perhaps Iran or Lebanon. Or... it may turn out to be someone else by the name of Musab or something similar thereto.

Who is Mir Hosain Mousavi?

Is he Mabus whom Nostradamus predicted? Is he the Little Horn? The Beast in Revelation? The Antichrist himself?

Could he be the Mahdi expected by a significant portion of those in the Islamic faith?

Let's start with the name Mabus. Nostradamus predicts a Third Beast and names him Mabus... having named the second one Hister and the first one Pau Nay Loron. Let's run through how Michel de Notre Dame used anagrams to describe the first two beasts before he describes the third.

According to the author John Hogue, in his book Nostradamus and the Antichrist:
Code Name MABUS: "Nostradamus took great pains to cloak the names of his three candidates for antichrist in coded anagrams: to protect the innocent from those in the future that might recognize themselves in his prophecies and do worse.

"THE FIRST ANTICHRIST . . . PAU NAY LORON

"Nostradamus code-named him "PAU, NAY, LORON." All in uppercase. An obvious decoding would give us three towns in southwestern France: Pau, Nay and (O)loron. Hogue continues, "Nostradamus gave the Third Antichrist the following code name. He's Mabus. A number of notorious contemporary figures, still living or recently dead from the Middle East can see their names spelled in the Mabus code."

I don't necessarily agree with any of the candidates Hogue proposes for Mabus, but it is interesting that he points out there are several Middle Eastern figures that supply a solution, however convoluted in some cases, for Mabus. I think, however, the solution is the same as the other two Antichrists -- it's a simple anagram for the ruler's name. Whoever Mabus is, the contents of the anagram MABUS must rearrange simply and reasonably to an approximation of the real name of that future ruler just as Pau Nay Loron did to Napoleon Roy (although maybe it really was just "NayPauLoron") and as Hister did to Hitler.

How about Islamic prophecies about the Mahdi? Is the Mahdi the Antichrist?

Abu al-Hujaf^(RA) quotes the Prophet^(SAW) saying three times:

He will fill the earth with justice and equity as it is filled with injustice and tyranny. He will fill the hearts of his followers with devotion and will spread justice everywhere. There are several items to note about the Mahdi prophecies. One attention-getter is the seven years, matching the term of the Great Tribulation. Another is the age at which he first emerges.... forty years. He is to be, moreover, forty years old in a time when the Islamic calendar month of Ramadan experiences both a solar and a lunar eclipse, which happens twice within two years about every 20 years -- not too common an event, but there have been four double-eclipse Ramadans in the past three decades -- the first in 1981, the second one in 1982, the third in 2001, and the fourth in 2003, which is the most spectacular because it was two total eclipses within one month of Ramadan, a once in about two centuries event. So we might want to look for a political figure in the Middle East who rises to power at the age of 40 in one of these years following such a double eclipse Ramadan.

Mir Hosain Mousavi became Prime Minister of Iran, appointed under the Ayatollah Khomeini, in 1981 and served until 1989. Was he forty years old then?

We read that he was born on September 29, 1941. The significance of the particular day may not escape some readers who are aware of my Rosh Hashanah 2011 article or the "Pyramid date" Jesus was born in 2 BC. According to Wiki, "In August 15, 1981, as part of the restructuring of the government in Mohammad Ali Rajai's cabinet, Mousavi was appointed foreign minister.^[5] He held the post for five months until December 15, 1981, when he received the higher appointment of prime minister.^[3]"

He was therefore 40 years old when he became Prime Minister. Did his two appointments to such prominence follow the eclipses in Ramadan that year? They both did. In Ramadan of the Islamic year 1401, in 1981 AD, a partial lunar eclipse occurred on July 17, and was followed two weeks after by a total central eclipse of the sun on July 31. -- http://alhafeez.org/rashid/eclpart6.htm.

Here's a rundown of the etymology of the name Mir Hosain Mousavi, which has variant spellings due to transliteration from the Arabic script that is used for the Persian language, such as Mir Hossein Moussavi, Mir Hosayn Mousavi, and so on. In the Spanish language it could be legitimately transliterated as Mir Joséin Musabi or Mousabi since b is pronounced the same as v in Spanish. (He is also surnamed Mir Hosain Mousavi Khameneh, after the town Khameneh in which he was born, in northwest Iran.)

Mir apparently is from a Sanskrit root that according to different sources can mean "ocean," "boundary," "peace," "prosperity," and "wonderful." Hosain is from the Arabic name Hussain and apparently means "Handsome Little One" or "Handsome-y") as a diminutive form of Hasan, which means "handsome."

I have so far been unsuccessful at finding etymological roots for Mousavi, but it strongly resembles the name Musab from the Arabic, which I have also not been able to find a definition for, other than it may derive from the venerated Islamic hero, considered second only to Muhammad himself, called Mus 'ab ibn 'Umair.) The man by this name, in the years of the conquest of Arabia by the first Muslims, is worth looking at in terms of his character.... for one thing, he was often called "handsome" (hasan), was wealthy in his youth, and possessed blue eyes and a reportedly very humble character. The article linked in Wiki, apparently written favorably by a devotee, reports that he was able to convert through persuasion alone, though he was certainly capable of great military prowess and became one of Muhammad's best generals. It is also worth noting that he is reported having been killed in battle holding the battle flag upright, which at that time would have been the original simple black flag of Islam, changed to green by a caliph a couple of generations later.

Now, there is another figure in Islamic prophecies called Al Masih ad Dajjal, or "the False Messiah," who is avowedly considered the Islamic version of the Antichrist. According to a Wiki article,

"The belief is based around the events prior to the Day of Judgment around the Second Coming of Prophet Isa (Jesus), when ad-Dajjal who is blind in his right eye, shall gather an army of those he has deceived and lead them in a war against Jesus, who shall be accompanied by an army of the righteous.^[1]

"He will appear somewhere between Syria and Iraq, at which time Prophet Isa will return and the Mahdi will come, he will travel the whole world in forty days preaching his falsehood but will be unable to enter Mecca or Medina.^[2]

"Hadith attributed to Muhammad give many signs of the appearance of the Dajjal, and exhorted his followers to recite the first and last ten verses of Sura Al-Kahf, as protection from the trials and mischief of the Dajjal. It is said that he will have right eye damaged and the left will be working because knowledge acquired through the right eye can be noori (means that pertaining to light) and through the left naari (that pertaining to fire). It is also said that he will have the word kafir (means that who doesn't believe God or atheist) on his forehead."

Now onto the Bible and the Beast...

First thing I wanted to note is Matthew 24. Jesus Christ, in the 34th verse of this chapter, says "Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled" after giving a thumbnail description of the Great Tribulations, and the shortening of the days for the sake of the elect, which I used as a takeoff for my 2011 Rapture article in this blog. In his speech he also states that the abomination which makes desolate, as prophesied by Daniel the prophet (and obviously not referring to Antiochus IV Epiphanes), will be set up in the holy place. At the very beginning of this speech Jesus also says of the Temple in his day, "There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down." Many have jumped to the conclusion that this was indeed fulfilled when the Romans destroyed the Temple in 70 AD, but such is not the case. The Temple Mount, the foundation of both Solomon and Ezra's Temples, and which includes the still standing Western Wall, and upon which sits the third holiest shrine of Islam, called Al Aqsa, is still in existence. For how long is a matter of heated debate these days, as the Mount is threatened by foundational instability, probably caused by the Palestinian Authority-sponsored Waqf (the caretakers of Al Aqsa) as they are undermining the Mount by removing all possible archaeological remnants of the Davidic and Hasidean eras of Israel and Judea. So we may soon see the final and total collapse of this great treasure of the ages that Jesus predicted in the same speech that he predicted the Great Tribulations.

Daniel speaks of the ruler to come as the "Little Horn," which uproots three, and does not have the honor of royalty, but obtains power by flatteries:

Dan 7:8	I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn [were] eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
Dan 8:9	And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant [land].

Dan 11:21	And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.
Dan 11:32	And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do [exploits].

The three horns spoken of are three other nations. We see that he describes where these other nations are in relation to the Little Horn, being toward "the south, the east, and towards the Beautiful Land." First let's deal with this matter of Biblical compass directions...

In the Bible compass directions are not reckoned toward the North Pole as we do in modern society. (See my blog page "Catty Cornered Directions in Daniel?") Instead, the people of Israel reckoned them in relation to and with priority on the weather and trade routes. Hence, "north" was the direction taken to get out of the country overland into Syria, via the mountain passes, or modern northeast. "West" was into the Sea, to the ports that handled most of the shipping, at Tyre and Jaffa, in the northwest. "South" was into Egypt, which is to the southwest. And "East" was the direction of the scorching hot desert wind of Arabia, to the southeast. At the risk of sourcing this inaccurately, my memory tells me I learned that much from Immanuel Velikovsky's painstaking cultural research in Ages in Chaos, but even if not, the internal evidence of Daniel satisfies me that Daniel's compass north was rotated to the right 45 degrees.

So, the expansion of the Little Horn has to take place in two distinct directions, south and east, which are our southwest and southeast, and toward the blessed land Beulah, or Beautiful, the prophet's homeland of Judah as it was then called, modern day Israel. Now, Daniel in a series of dreams narrowed down the beastly kingdoms to two in his prophetic discourse of the king of the North (Northeast) and King of the South (Southwest.) The detail of the prophecy you can go over in Daniel 11, but basically the North was the Seleucid Empire, inheriting the northeastern quadrant of Alexander's empire, and the South was the southwestern quadrant of Alexander's empire that passed to Ptolemy, king of Egypt. Now, the Seleucid region comprised the following nations and parts of nations: Eastern Turkey, northern Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Kuwait, and western Iran. So, if for instance the Little Horn were to arise in eastern Turkey, his expansion would be almost impossible under the terms of the prophecy, because the southwest puts him in the Mediterranean Sea. Maybe he could have Cyprus, I don't know, but that hardly seems worth the trip. Syria and Iraq are thought to be much better choices by some prophecy teachers because they have much more room to expand before turning toward Beulah, but Syria would then be invading Jordan, and Jordan is in the realm of the princes of Moab and Ammon that are exempted by:

Dan 11:41

He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many [countries] shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, [even] Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

So that eliminates Eastern Turkey and Syria. Now if Lebanon charges southwest, it too is just conquering seafloor in the Med, and southeast puts them in just a small bit of Syria before hitting the Jordanian border. So much for Lebanon. Let's try Iraq. If Iraq gets a hold of what's southeast of it, we have a repeat of recent history -- Kuwait goes under. Iran would probably find that highly objectionable, as would the Saudis, and it's not that original. The other way? Southwest of Iraq is Jordan -- forbidden territory for the Antichrist again. Let's try Kuwait. Here's the Antichrist setting up shop in Kuwait City -- boom, he goes southwest, he's heading into a wide empty desert in Saudi Arabia. Can't go there, that's right toward the old realm of Edom, southeast of Israel. He heads southeast -- and he's on the seafloor again - this time, it's the Persian Gulf.

What's left? Iran.

If we posit Iran, we have a solution to how black flags could come from Khorasan which originally encompassed not just Iran, and really more the eastern part of it, but also Afghanistan and Pakistan. So how does this scenario work? Pretty well from the prophecy and its limitations. Let's say our Beastly candidate aims southwest and southeast and overturns the countries in those directions. Southeast means Pakistan -- the Other Islamic Republic that has done so much for world peace and stability-- AHEM. With close to 200 million people, thank you very much. And perennial instability. Southwest gives us two more and guess which two. Kuwait and Iraq. Strategically brilliant, because combined with Iran that puts two thirds or more of the world's oil in the hands of Antichrist, just like that. Add the educated, numerous population masses of Pakistan and Iran, and you have an instant superpower easily rivalling China, India, and perhaps even the United States. You can read Ezekiel 38, the "Russia chapter," to appreciate the motivation for Russia (Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal or Moscow and Tobolsk) to form its future alliance with none other than Persia (Iran), Ethiopia, Libya, Gomer (Germany), and Togarmah (Turkey.) That's very nearly become an obvious reality even now, with Russia becoming ever more confrontational with the West and seeking to restore its own power base.

Now, if the Little Horn comes from Iran, the conditions of the Daniel prophecy require that he is launched from the western part of Iran. Not only that, but the Mahdi is also said to be awoken from near Qom, just southwest of Tehran, which is also within the Seleucid realm, definitely in Iran. Interestingly enough, Mir Hosain Mousavi essentially launched his 2009 presidential bid in none other than Qom after meeting with clerics there. If that is not enough, Mir Hosain Mousavi is a native of Khameneh, which gives him his final surname, and is located well within the ancient border of the Seleucid realm, in the most historic province of Iran, the northwestern province of East Azarbaijan. Interestingly enough, that also means he comes from a small people, the ethnic Azarbaijanis, who have only partial independence as Azerbaijan, a former Soviet Central Asian republic, and are a minority inside Iran.

I also wanted to deal a bit with the portrait of the Beast in Revelation and how it relates to Iran and Iraq, as well as to the etymology of Mir-Hosain Mousavi's first name. In chapter 13 the beast is described:

Rev 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, [one of the translations of Mir from the Sanskrit is SEA] having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Rev 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, [like Alexander of Greece, a speedy and audacious conqueror] and his feet were as [the feet] of a bear, [started or "footed" in Medo-Persia] and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: [ultimately speaks or rules from Babylon or Iraq] and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
Rev 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death [demon prince was defeated and locked away]; and his deadly wound was healed: [he was released from detention] and all the world wondered after the beast.

Without reinventing the wheel of eschatology, a brief interpretation that I remember Dr. Gene Scott teaching is in order. The sand of the sea represents the people of the whole world, which number like the sand of the sea. The beast rising from the sea comes out of the Abyss, which is somewhere in the ocean physically or at least has a gateway into it somewhere on the Earth; some of us believe that to be in the former site of Atlantis, in the Atlantic Ocean. The seven heads are elaborated on by the angel visiting John:

Rev 17:09 And here [is] the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
Rev 17:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, [and] the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
Rev 17:11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
Rev 17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

The seven mountains -- or the Seven Hills -- represent Rome, the capital of the church world which the woman represents that has soured and become apostate. However, they also represent seven "kings" or more accurately, demon princes of evil empires that have ruled on the earth or will rule, in the case of the Beast to come. Specifically these are the seven empires that oppress Israel, the Chosen People, beginning with

Egypt which held them as slaves;

the second is Assyria, which led away the Ten Tribes of Israel, or the Samaria kingdom, once ruled by Omri, to captivity at Lake Van in eastern Turkey;

the third, Babylon, represented by Daniel as the golden head and the lion which conquered Judah and Jerusalem and led away the Jews;

the fourth, Medo-Persia, represented by Daniel as the silver arms and chest, as the bear, and as the ram, where Haman tried to wipe the Jews out;

the fifth, Alexander's empire of Greece, represented by the bronze waist, the leopard, and the goat in Daniel, which Hellenized the Middle East and whose Seleucid successor Antiochus Epiphanes almost destroyed worship at the Temple with gymnasia and pagan sacrifices;

the sixth, the Roman Empire, which then existed in John's day, represented in Daniel as the legs of iron and the nondescript beast;

and the seventh, the ten toes of Daniel and the ten horns in Revelation 13, and the eighth is of the seven, meaning he ruled before. In other words this is a demon prince that is released after being imprisoned in the Abyss, wounded in the head as it were, and we can look at Alexander, the fifth of the seven, cut down by illness in his prime and with his successors fracturing the kingdom and ruling without the power that he possessed. Where did that power go? What gave Alexander that extraordinary charisma and quality of leadership?

In Daniel, this one of the ten suddenly uproots three in his rise to power over the ten, and the final passages of Daniel after 11:21 trace how he reigns, conquers, and oppresses a large portion of the world, including Israel:

Dan 11:21 And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.
Dan 11:22 And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.
Dan 11:23 And after the league [made] with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people.
Dan 11:24 He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do [that] which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: [yea], and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.
Dan 11:25 And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him.
Dan 11:26 Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat shall destroy him, and his army shall overflow: and many shall fall down slain.
Dan 11:27 And both these kings' hearts [shall be] to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end [shall be] at the time appointed.
Dan 11:28 Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart [shall be] against the holy covenant; and he shall do [exploits], and return to his own land.
Dan 11:29 At the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south [southwest, toward Egypt]; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter.
Dan 11:30 For the ships of Chittim [also translated Western coastlands] shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.
Dan 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily [sacrifice], and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. [Note that the Third Temple must have been completed by then for this to be.]
Dan 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do [exploits].
Dan 11:33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, [many] days.
Dan 11:34 Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.
Dan 11:35 And [some] of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make [them] white, [even] to the time of the end: because [it is] yet for a time appointed.
Dan 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
Dan 11:37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
Dan 11:38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
Dan 11:39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge [and] increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.
Dan 11:40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
Dan 11:41 He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many [countries] shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, [even] Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
Dan 11:42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
Dan 11:43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians [shall be] at his steps.
Dan 11:44 But tidings out of the east [southeast] and out of the north [northeast] shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

But for here, the most interesting question is, where does Daniel say he will appear, and where does Revelation say he will appear? Interpreting scripture to divine this is not entirely straightforward, but it's fair to say, following the Rules of Hillel or some other systematic literary deductive analysis, that Daniel, via the interplay of the visions of the beastly kingdoms, and zeroing in on the region via chapter 11's depiction of the North (Northeast) and South (Southwest) so accurately that historicists allege that to be history after the fact... that Daniel narrows the field down to the Seleucid Empire to the northeast of Israel and places the Little Horn in that Seleucid Empire, predicting his rise to power through flatteries -- smooth deceptive talk -- his support from a small people, a minority within his country, working deceitfully, and suddenly uprooting the three other nations (chapter 7:8), predicting a series of battles between his empire and Egypt, until finally he successfully invades Israel and Egypt after Western coastland nations (Chittim) lose the gumption to stop him.

About the length of time that this all takes place: Daniel 8:11-14 gives us one number... 2,300 days for the daily sacrifice to be abolished and the sanctuary to be trodden down... there has to be a sanctuary for that 2,300 days, and daily sacrifice must have been started. That means an at least functional Temple existing for at least 6.3 years up to the end of the Tribulations. The Great Tribulations as we know from Daniel 9:27 will be a period lasting less than seven years, shortened for the sake of the elect according to Jesus Christ in Matthew 24:22. Daniel refines this further in the 12th chapter when the angel tells him:

Dan 12:11 And from the time [that] the daily [sacrifice] shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, [there shall be] a thousand two hundred and ninety [1,290] days.
Dan 12:12 Blessed [is] he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty [1,335] days.

This I take to mean that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination set up for the 1,290 days of the reign of the Little Horn in Jerusalem, setting himself up at the Temple, and blessed is he that survives and makes the next 45 days, coming after the Little Horn is ejected from or flees Jerusalem in response to the alarming news from the northeast and southeast. (I theorize that that bad news is due to invasion by heavy Chinese and Indian forces, and possibly also Russians, on the eastern marches of the Beast's empire.) This would also mean that the first 1,010 days of the 2,300 are the daily sacrifice going on, business as usual, at the Temple, under the terms of the covenant of the week of years in Dan 9:27. The bad tidings are another little signal that the Beastly empire extends out to at least Pakistan, because who else would he have such trouble with if not Pakistan's giant eastern neighbors -- India and China? Not to mention, this is the same bad luck that Alexander experienced... he was defeated in Pakistan by the Indians living there and east of there.

A note about the origins of the three Antichrists:

Napoleon: not an ethnic Frenchman, born in Corsica, an Italian-speaking island still belonging to France.

Hitler: not an ethnic German, born in Austria which was later absorbed by Germany in 1938.

Mabus.... Not ethnically Persian per se? Also, ruling the Arabs but not an Arab? Mousavi qualifies twice, an Azarbaijani, not a Persian, and an Iranian, not an Arab. Just sayin'.

By the way the word "Mahdi," or "Mehdi," means "Guide." In the German language "Mahdi" or "Guide" is the word "Führer."

I wrote the following missive to the President of the United States:

"I am against the revocation of visas to the Honduran official delegation sent by President Roberto Micheletti to Washington, DC. I consider revoking the visas, and other sanctioning actions so far taken, an act of treachery and cowardice against the constitutionally elected government of an allied nation. The Administration's actions toward Honduras have highlighted and brought into sharp focus the poisonous attitude of the Administration and the Democratic Party toward the self determination of the people of Honduras, toward foreign national sovereignty, and toward the principle of constitutional law. I fear its application, when it's deemed expedient, toward the people, sovereignty, and Constitution of the United States of America.

"It is due to these actions and many others by the Administration, in the realms of foreign policy, national defense, the conduct of the wars we are engaged in, so-called health care reform, expensive nationalizations of financial institutions and other corporations, proposals of restriction of speech rights of certain radio voices, the overall lack of fiscal restraint, excessive use of executive powers, and other issues that could be named, that I have decided to withdraw my voter registration in the Democratic Party and register as a Libertarian. Ironically, I believe the party I am joining has far more in common with the Liberal Party of Honduras than it does with the neo-Marxist dominated Democratic Party of these United States.
